Types of myopia surgery

Laser eye surgery & implant procedures class

Laser refractive eye surgery

Laser refractive eye surgery is a form of vision correction and involves reshaping the cornea to correct a refractive error. This occurs when the eye is abnormally shaped and can’t focus light directly on the retina at the back of the eye, resulting in out-of-focus, blurry vision.

ICL surgery

An Implantable Collamer Lens (ICL) is an advanced, thin, clear lens that functions similarly to a contact lens, however it is surgically implanted into the eye. The ICL cannot be felt while in the eye, requires no maintenance and can be removed if needed. The ICL does not replace your natural lens, but is implanted in front of your natural lens and behind your iris.

Types of myopia surgeries

The procedure of VisuMax SMILE3.0

VisuMax SMILE3.0

This involves making a 2mm tiny incision with no corneal flap and no-knife treatment.

The procedure only takes 26 seconds, is painless and has less risk of dry eye syndrome. During SMILE eye surgery, a lenticule is created inside the intact cornea and extracted through a small incision, thereby achieving the desired vision correction.

TransPRK excimer laser eye surgery

TransPRK (transepithelial photorefractive keratectomy) is a touch-free laser eye correction method. Unlike with conventional methods like LASEK and PRK, with TransPRK the eye is not touched with any instrument.

Instead, the laser removes the epithelium, without suction, flap, or blade. This touch-free procedure is non-invasive, safe, and gentle to the eye.

The procedure of TransPRK excimer laser eye surgery

The procedure of FS-LASIK surgery

FS-LASIK surgery

With FS LASIK the corneal flap is created with the help of femtosecond laser. The cornea is the clear front part of the eye, and the flap is a thin layer created to protect the surface of the cornea for protection. During the procedure the protective flap, is lifted to allow the laser to reshapes the cornea for vision correction. The laser is then reshapes the cornea for vision correction. After the procedure is complete, the protective flap is replaced for healing. This innovative technique is used to prepare the cornea for laser vision correction surgery.

ICL surgery

Good news for high myopia patients, custom solutions.

The lens cannot be felt while in the eye,, Safe and reversible ICL procedure
